Oversized Islands
An island painted on its own runs $650 to $1,400 and takes 2 days in place. Our kitchen island painting often pairs a dark island with a light perimeter.

Aberfoyle, Morriston and Puslinch Lake
Kitchener Elite Cabinet Painting & Refinishing paints cabinets across Puslinch Township, from Aberfoyle and Morriston to the cottages and year-round homes around Puslinch Lake. Puslinch sits between Cambridge and Guelph, and its houses tend to be larger and further apart than almost anywhere else we work.
That shapes every Puslinch job. Custom kitchens with 50 or 60 pieces, islands the size of a dining table and long gravel laneways mean we plan door pickups carefully and spray as much as possible in our own booth.
With 16+ years and more than 1,700 cabinet jobs behind us, a rural kitchen this size holds few surprises for our crew. The 401 brings us from Kitchener to Aberfoyle in 20 to 25 minutes, well inside our regular area.
Rural-sized jobs
Puslinch kitchens are rarely small, and the rooms around them often hold as many cabinets as a whole city kitchen. Think of the laundry off the garage, the walk-in pantry and the big island in the middle of it all.
An island painted on its own runs $650 to $1,400 and takes 2 days in place. Our kitchen island painting often pairs a dark island with a light perimeter.
Every door and drawer front comes back to our Kitchener booth for Renner 2K. Our cabinet spraying process is why a 55-piece kitchen still looks factory smooth.
Big pantries and closed-up lake homes often have stained or musty melamine inside. Our cabinet interior painting runs $45 to $65 per box.
Hard well water spots laundry cabinets around the tub and the softener. Our laundry room cabinet painting runs $1,100 to $2,600 for a full bank.
Pricing at scale
A big Puslinch kitchen costs more in total but not more per piece, because we price each door and drawer front rather than the size of the room. Custom kitchens here often reach 40 to 60 pieces once the pantry wall, wine fridge surround and island panels are counted.
This is how the scale works before HST:

| Kitchen size | Price before HST | Typical time |
|---|---|---|
| Medium, 21 to 35 pieces | $3,400 to $5,200 | 5 to 7 working days |
| Large, 36 to 55 pieces | $5,200 to $7,800 | 5 to 7 days up to 40 pieces, 7 to 10 days above |
| Very large, 55+ pieces | From $7,800 | 7 to 10 working days |
| Island painted on its own | $650 to $1,400 | 2 days |
Tall pantry doors and full-height panels, which most custom kitchens have plenty of, are $160 to $220 each. Interiors, grain filling and hardware are listed on our cabinet painting price list.
Fewer trips
Taking every door to our booth on day one means a Puslinch kitchen sees our van on fewer days. The boxes, end panels and island are sprayed in place inside zip walls, with a negative-air fan venting out a window.
Doors stay in the booth for 3 to 4 days while they are primed, sprayed and racked to cure at 18 to 24°C. Our crew is in the house for 3 to 4 days of a typical 5 to 7 day kitchen, and 4 to 5 days on a kitchen past 40 pieces.
Every door, drawer front and hinge is numbered on day one, so each one goes back to the same opening after the drive down a concession road. Doors are only rehung after at least 24 to 48 hours of cure in the shop.

Along the 401
From our shop, the 401 east takes us to the Brock Road and Highway 6 exits in about 20 minutes, which puts most of Puslinch 20 to 25 minutes away. The township is inside our regular radius, so there is no travel fee.
The township's centre on Brock Road, with older village homes and country estate lots on the roads around it.
Village homes along Highway 6 south of the 401, from early 1900s houses to 1970s bungalows.
Cottages, rebuilt cottages and full-time lake homes around the shoreline.
The hamlet at the township's north edge near Guelph, with farmhouses and larger country homes.
Farm and estate homes on the back concessions, usually on private wells and septic.
Disposal
Puslinch belongs to Wellington County, not the Region of Waterloo, even though Cambridge is right next door. Your old paint therefore goes to the County's waste sites or one of its hazardous waste days, and the County's waste information lists the current locations and dates.
Paint stores taking part in Product Care's paint return program are often the easier option for a few cans.

Questions
Rural lots and lake homes raise a few questions we do not hear in town.
No. Puslinch is 20 to 25 minutes from our shop, inside our usual 30-minute area, so even a farm on a back concession pays no travel fee. Our $650 minimum job still applies.
Yes, as long as the heat is on. The house has to stay at 15°C or warmer from the day before we spray until the walkthrough, and the doors cure in our heated shop regardless of the weather outside.
It will not damage the finish, but it leaves white mineral spots on sink and laundry cabinets if drips are left to dry. Wipe with a soft cloth and mild dish soap; abrasive pads, acetone and bleach dull the sheen and fall outside our warranty.
